Starz has officially announced the premiere date for the highly anticipated fifth and final season of “Power Book III: Raising Kanan,” along with releasing a first-look teaser that offers a glimpse into the dramatic conclusion of the series centered around one of the most powerful figures in the “Power” Universe.
Set to return on June 12, new episodes of the final season will be available weekly on Fridays on the Starz app as well as across all Starz streaming and on-demand platforms.
The synopsis for the upcoming season teases a deeper exploration of Kanan’s (Mekai Curtis) ruthless nature as he navigates the dangerous drug business in Queens alongside the legendary Southside figure, Breeze (Shameik Moore). Their alliance sets the stage for a showdown that will have far-reaching consequences for all involved, including the Thomas family, Unique (Joey Bada$$), and the Mafia. Sacrifices will be made, but nothing will deter Kanan from his quest for power as he solidifies his place in the underworld.
“Power Book III: Raising Kanan” is the second spinoff in the expanding “Power” franchise, with Sascha Penn serving as showrunner and executive producer for the final season. The series is brought to life by the talented team of Courtney A. Kemp, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Mark Canton, and Chris Selak, with Lionsgate Television producing the show for Starz.
