4 Massive Mistakes WWE Made At Elimination Chamber 2026

Elimination Chamber was WWE’s final Premium Live Event stop on the Road to WrestleMania, and it set up several WrestleMania matches as part of the show. While much of the entertainment in Chicago was all about the progression into WrestleMania in Las Vegas in April, there were a number of mistakes throughout the show.

The following list looks at just four of the biggest mistakes that WWE made at Elimination Chamber in Chicago 2026.

#4. Why did Seth Rollins attack Logan Paul at Elimination Chamber?
The Vision are having such issues over the past few months that Seth Rollins has now resorted to targeting members of The Vision who have joined the group since he was attacked. Logan Paul wasn’t even a member of The Vision when Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed attacked him last year, but since both men are out injured, Rollins returned and was forced to attack Paul instead, with Paul Heyman seemingly his new target, since he was the man who betrayed him when he opted to align with the younger stars.

#3. CM Punk was always going to win in Chicago
The way that Elimination Chamber was booked gave away the fact that Finn Balor was always going to lose to CM Punk. Roman Reigns had already chosen his WrestleMania opponent, and the seeds had been planted for the match against Punk, so WWE wasn’t going to swivel away from that main event. Finn Balor should have won the title in Ireland and then dropped it to CM Punk at Elimination Chamber if the company wanted him to be World Champion since their match in Chicago was never going to work in his favor.

#2. Rhea Ripley didn’t need to win the Elimination Chamber
Rhea Ripley came out of the Women’s Elimination Chamber match that kicked off the show as the winner, which means that she will face Jade Cargill for the Women’s Championship at WrestleMania. Ripley pinned Tiffany Stratton after Stratton kicked off the match and worked through the entire duration, and deserved the win much more than Mami. Tiffany was unable to gain her rematch against Jade Cargill after she lost the title back in November, and this was her chance to win it, but instead, it was Ripley.

#1. Danhausen revealed from the WWE mystery box
The mystery box that has been passed from RAW to SmackDown over the past few weeks was finally opened at Elimination Chamber and revealed as former AEW star Danhausen. After the star danced to the ring to a chorus of boos from the crowd, he disappeared, and the WWE Universe was none the wiser. There were many ways WWE could have debuted their newest star, and they missed the mark here. The poor soul didn’t even have a match; he just entered the ring, and then when the lights came up, he was gone. Hopefully, there’s a way for WWE to offer him a better debut on RAW or SmackDown this week, where he won’t be booed.

These mistakes at Elimination Chamber in Chicago 2026 raise questions about the decision-making process within WWE and how it impacts the overall fan experience. Moving forward, it will be interesting to see how WWE addresses these issues and improves their storytelling and execution in future events.
