The 2026 NAACP Image Awards took place last night in Los Angeles, celebrating the excellence of Black performers and artists in the entertainment industry. Hosted by Deon Cole at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, the 57th annual ceremony honored a diverse group of talented individuals in film, television, music, and literature.

The theme of the evening was “We See You,” highlighting Black creativity, excellence, and humanity in all spaces where their stories are told. The night belonged to Ryan Coogler’s film “Sinners,” which led the nominations with 18 nods and took home 13 awards, including Best Picture, Best Actor for Michael B. Jordan, and Breakthrough Performer for Miles Caton. The Chairman’s Award was presented to the legendary Viola Davis, while Colman Domingo received the President’s Award. Additionally, Salt-N-Pepa and DJ Spinderella were inducted into the NAACP Image Awards Hall of Fame.

Other notable winners included Cynthia Erivo for Best Actress in a Motion Picture for “Wicked: For Good,” Angela Bassett for Best Drama Actress in “9-1-1,” and Sterling K. Brown for Best Drama Actor in “Paradise.” A$AP Rocky was honored with the Vanguard Award for Fashion, and Ruth E. Carter took home the award for Best Costume Design for “Sinners.”

The fashion at the event was as stunning as the talent on display. Wunmi Mosaku dazzled in a creamy pink and aubergine Christian Siriano gown, while Teyana Taylor rocked a sculptural Ashi Studio couture dress. Colman Domingo turned heads in a triple mustard Sergio Hudson coat, and Chase Infiniti wowed in posey pink feathers by Tamara Ralph. Halle Bailey stunned in a Stephanie Rolland couture dress with a poufy collar.
