The highly anticipated Actor Awards, formerly known as the SAG Awards, are set to make their rebranded debut this Sunday night, just two weeks before the prestigious Oscars ceremony.

Paul Thomas Anderson’s action-packed epic “One Battle After Another” has made history with a remarkable seven nominations, including nods for best cast ensemble, stunt ensemble, and acting performances by Leonardo DiCaprio, Chase Infiniti, Benicio Del Toro, Sean Penn, and Teyana Taylor. Warner Bros.’s other awards season contender, Ryan Coogler’s vampire drama “Sinners,” closely follows with five nominations. The two will compete in the best ensemble category alongside Guillermo del Toro’s “Frankenstein,” ChloĂ© Zhao’s “Hamnet,” and Josh Safdie’s “Marty Supreme.”

The lead actor category is shaping up to be one of the most competitive of the season, with heavyweights like Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael B. Jordan, Timothée Chalamet, Ethan Hawke, and Jesse Plemons vying for the top spot. In the lead actress category, contenders include Jessie Buckley, Rose Byrne, Kate Hudson, Chase Infiniti, and Emma Stone.

Turning to the television side of the awards, Apple’s comedy series “The Studio” leads the pack with five nominations, including best ensemble and acting nods for Seth Rogen, Ike Barinholtz, Kathryn Hahn, and the late Catherine O’Hara. Competing against “The Studio” in the best comedy series ensemble category are “Abbott Elementary,” “The Bear,” “Hacks,” and “Only Murders in the Building.” In the drama series ensemble category, contenders include “The Diplomat,” “Landman,” “The Pitt,” “Severance,” and “White Lotus.”

The awards show will be hosted by Kristen Bell for the second year in a row and will be aired on Netflix. Stay tuned for the announcement of the winners.
