Legendary captain MS Dhoni and his super fan were recently spotted in Mumbai ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026 semifinal between India and England. The highly anticipated game is scheduled to take place at the iconic Wankhede Stadium on Thursday, March 5.
The sighting of MS Dhoni and his wife, Sakshi Dhoni, in Mumbai was a result of their attendance at Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar’s wedding. While driving through the streets of Mumbai near the Wankhede Stadium, Sakshi noticed Dhoni’s super fan dressed in the vibrant Indian colors. The fan, as usual, attracted attention from other fans who eagerly stopped him for selfies.
Sakshi captured this moment on her Instagram story, where she also turned the camera towards Dhoni, seated beside her. The veteran cricketer was seen sporting a traditional blue kurta, a nod to his attire at Arjun’s wedding.
Dhoni’s super fan is a familiar sight at Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) matches during the IPL, donning the team’s signature yellow colors with Dhoni’s name and jersey number proudly displayed.
As the T20 World Cup semifinal approaches, Team India is focused on defeating England to secure their spot in the final and defend their title. The two teams have a history of facing each other in T20 World Cup semifinals, with an even record of one win and one loss each.
Meanwhile, MS Dhoni and CSK have kickstarted their preparations for the upcoming IPL 2026 season. The franchise recently held their first training camp in Chennai, with key players like Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sarfaraz Khan, Khaleel Ahmed, and others joining Dhoni.
After a disappointing IPL 2025 season where CSK finished at the bottom of the table, the team is determined to make a comeback in the upcoming season. With speculation surrounding Dhoni’s role and match appearances, fans are eagerly awaiting the start of IPL 2026 to witness the team’s performance under his leadership.
