Federal agents are currently on the hunt for a dangerous murder suspect who is on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list. Omar Alexander Cardenas, also known as “Dollar,” is wanted for the fatal shooting of a man outside a barber shop in Los Angeles in 2019. The FBI is offering a reward of $1 million for any information that could lead to his arrest.
The incident took place outside Hair Icon Barber Shop in Sylmar, where Cardenas allegedly fired six shots from a semi-automatic handgun, resulting in the death of 46-year-old Jabari Dumas. Investigators believe that the victim may not have known Cardenas prior to the shooting.
A Los Angeles County arrest warrant was issued for Cardenas in April 2020, followed by a federal warrant in September 2021 for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. Cardenas is described as a hulking man, standing between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall, and weighing approximately 240 to 300 pounds. He is known to have a beard, wear prescription glasses, and have at least one tattoo.
The FBI has placed Cardenas on its Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list and is urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward. Investigators suspect that he may be receiving assistance while evading capture.
