A new video has surfaced showing the mistress of former MLB pitcher Dan Serafini, Samantha Scott, squirming as she is questioned by police about Serafini’s attack on his in-laws. Scott has recently pleaded guilty to being an accomplice in Serafini’s fatal assault on his in-laws in 2021, where he killed his father-in-law and shot his mother-in-law in the head, leading to her later taking her own life.
In the newly obtained interview by KRCA, Scott initially misled detectives about the events on the day of the shooting. She claimed that she and Serafini met to buy a truck for his wife but ended up going to pick up a package. Scott stated that Serafini dropped her off and left her waiting for hours for his return. However, detectives expressed skepticism about her story and confronted her about the seriousness of the situation.
During the interrogation, a detective warned Scott that she was in serious trouble and threatened to charge her with murder if she did not provide accurate information. After requesting her father to sit in on the interview, Scott changed her story, revealing that she believed Serafini was picking up cocaine and admitting that she had lied to other detectives.
Scott explained that she had been dishonest with detectives earlier because she did not believe Serafini was responsible for the murders and did not want to further implicate him. She expressed her belief that Serafini did not commit the crimes and stated, “In my heart, I don’t think they did. But I don’t know.”
Serafini was ultimately sentenced to two life sentences for the attack on his in-laws, while Scott received a plea deal for her valuable testimony. She is currently free but is required to wear an ankle monitor as part of the agreement.
The case has shocked the community and brought to light the complexity of the situation involving Serafini, Scott, and the tragic events that unfolded. The investigation continues, and the justice system is working to uncover the truth behind this harrowing crime.
