Pranksters are now “swatting” Mickey at Disneyland, causing chaos and panic at the popular theme park in Southern California. The Anaheim Police Department responded to a mass shooting report at Disneyland, only to discover that it was a hoax swatting incident.

Swatting is a dangerous prank where individuals make false emergency reports of shootings or bomb threats to send heavily armed police to an unsuspecting target. In this case, a live streamer named Oblivion was streaming from Disneyland when security and local police questioned him before kicking him out of the park. Oblivion claimed to be the victim of swatting, although it is unclear if his stream led to the large police response.

A Disney employee appeared in the video of the incident, stating that Oblivion was being removed from the park because he was “disrupting” business. Fans were seen greeting Oblivion and taking photos with him before security escorted him out of the park.

Earlier on the same day, another pair of livestreamers were swatted at a Southern California mall. Zavalahimself and Amanda Solis were streaming from a store at Westfield Santa Anita Mall when police rushed in with rifles drawn. A 911 call had reported that the pair were armed with rifles and bombs and preparing to shoot people in the mall.

These incidents highlight the dangers of swatting and the disruption it causes to innocent individuals. It is essential for authorities to investigate these pranks thoroughly to prevent unnecessary panic and chaos. Disney and other public places should also be vigilant and prepared to handle such situations to ensure the safety of their guests.

The California Post reached out to the Anaheim Police Department and Oblivion for further comments on the incident. It is crucial for streamers and content creators to be aware of the risks of swatting and take necessary precautions to protect themselves and others around them.
