Beauty and the Geek Australia alum Tamika Chesser has reportedly given birth while incarcerated, following allegations of murdering her boyfriend, Julian Story, last year.
According to 9 News, Chesser, aged 34, was pregnant at the time of her 2025 arrest, though the child’s father’s identity remains undisclosed.
Us Weekly has contacted Chesser and South Australia Health for comments.
On June 19, 2025, authorities found 39-year-old Story’s charred and dismembered remains at the couple’s home in Port Lincoln, Lower Eyre Peninsula. Chesser was subsequently charged with murder, destruction of human remains, and obstructing justice.
Since her arrest last June, the former model has been held at James Nash House, a mental health facility near Adelaide. She is scheduled to appear in court in April, although she has not yet entered a plea.
The Australian broadcaster ABC reported that in June 2025, police were alerted to the couple’s residence when a neighbor noticed smoke emanating from their unit. According to a police report, a witness claimed to have approached Chesser, who reportedly said she was doing “nothing” before taking her dogs for a walk and locking the door.
After the witness attempted to douse the unit with water, emergency services were contacted. Police arrived to find Story’s beheaded body in a bathroom.
Chesser was found in a “catatonic and unresponsive state” in a nearby yard and subsequently taken into custody, according to South Australian police.

“We know that after his alleged murder, Julian’s body was dismembered and while I won’t provide any further details about that at this time, I can tragically say that we have not recovered the head of Julian Story,” Detective Superintendent Darren Fielke announced in a media briefing last June.
Fielke continued, “I can only imagine … the grief this news is causing Julian’s family. It is crucial that we locate Julian’s head so that his family has the opportunity to lay him to rest.”
In September 2025, Detective Superintendent Fielke confirmed to the media that Story’s skull was found by a local dog, according to the ABC.
“One of those situations where the dog ran off into the scrub, the dog didn’t come back immediately on being called,” the police spokesperson explained.
At the time of Story’s death, his family expressed gratitude to the public for their “care” as they “navigated an unimaginable loss.”
“Your care has brought comfort amid the chaos,” his family told the ABC. “We are also deeply grateful to our family and friends and this extraordinary community whose kindness and support have helped carry us through. Your prayers, presence, and quiet strength mean more than words can say.”
Chesser was a runner-up on the second season of the Australian reality show Beauty and the Geek in 2010. This show paired attractive “Beauties” with “Geeks” — socially awkward men — to compete for a $100,000 grand prize.
In the show, Chesser was introduced as “a cocktail” waitress and described herself as “the best person at making ‘animal noises.” In her introductory video, she mentioned that her “favorite feature would be my smile.”
During the show, Chesser teamed up with “Hawaiian shirt enthusiast” Thomas Richardson-Smith, but they lost to dancer Jessie Byrne and National Math Champion Michael Price in the season 2 finale of Beauty and the Geek.
