Hollywood Brown can now boast of having played alongside both quarterbacks from Super Bowl LIX, Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts. Brown has joined a roster featuring A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, aiming to catch passes from Hurts. Recently, he shared his thoughts on his new quarterback.

In a Wednesday Speakeasy podcast, Brown praised Hurts, particularly highlighting his deep ball accuracy.

“I’ve always been a fan of Jalen Hurts, even back to his days at Alabama,” Brown remarked. “I took a long journey to get where I am, so I always root for guys who have traveled a similar path. When he moved to Oklahoma, I was entering the league and even considered staying in school to play with him.”

“I personally believe he’s one of the top vertical passers in the league, which is appealing to a receiver. You know he’s going to place the ball perfectly, especially on crucial third downs, which I call money downs. No matter how it looks, he finds a way to make it happen.”

There were common criticisms of Hurts in 2025 regarding his ability to stretch the field, even as a Super Bowl-winning quarterback. As the season progressed, the team’s choice to abandon the “tush push” led to a decline in his rushing touchdowns.

In 2021, Hollywood Brown delivered an impressive performance, achieving 1,000 receiving yards in his third season, marking consistent improvement each year. However, since reaching that milestone, his productivity has waned.

Despite playing alongside Kyler Murray and Patrick Mahomes over several seasons, his closest attempt was 709 yards with the Arizona Cardinals in 2022, a year after leaving the Baltimore Ravens. He has not surpassed 600 yards in a season since then.

Brown’s arrival has sparked rumors suggesting A.J. Brown might depart. For Hollywood Brown, now 28, to surpass his past achievements, a change might be necessary.

Will Hollywood Brown find his resurgence in 2026?
