Prime Video India has announced a lineup of 54 new series and films at its “Prime Video Presents” event held on Thursday. The showcase includes content in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, along with a theatrical slate from Amazon MGM Studios India and a collection of licensed post-theatrical titles.
The Mumbai event underscored collaborations with Hrithik Roshanâs HRX Films and Alia Bhattâs Eternal Sunshine Productions. New projects from Dharmatic Entertainment, D2R Films, Excel Entertainment, Tiger Baby Films, Emmay Entertainment, Abundantia Entertainment, The Viral Fever, Wallwatcher Films, and others were also featured.
Among the highlights is âThe Revolutionaries,â directed by Nikkhil Advani. This period epic, based on Sanjeev Sanyalâs book, is set during the 1857 uprising and follows four young rebels challenging the British Raj. The film stars Bhuvan Bam, Rohit Saraf, Pratibha Ranta, and Gurfateh Pirzada, and is produced by Emmay Entertainment.
In âMatka King,â Vijay Varma takes the lead in a fictional tale set in 1960s Mumbai, where a cotton trader launches a gambling game for the masses. This story is created and directed by Nagraj Popatrao Manjule and produced by Roy Kapur Films, Aatpat, and SMR Productions, featuring Kritika Kamra and Sai Tamhankar.
âRaakh,â featuring Ali Fazal and Sonali Bendre, is a crime thriller about an officer on the trail of a kidnapper who has taken two teenagers. Directed by Prosit Roy and created by Anusha Nandakumar and Sandeep Saket, the series includes Aamir Bashir and Dibyendu Bhattacharya, with production by Endemol Shine India and BhaDiPa.
âTeen Kauweâ features Bobby Deol, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Sidhant Gupta in a spy thriller about an agent who returns from the dead to expose a mole. Created by Abbas Tyrewala and directed by Priyanka Ghose, itâs produced by Roy Kapur Films, with Pavail Gulati and Ronit Roy in supporting roles.
Rapper King makes his acting debut in âLukkhe,â a story of a young athlete entering Punjabâs rap scene to expose a drug cartel. The film, directed by Himank Gaur and produced by Optimystix and White Guerrilla, stars Raashi Khanna, Palak Tiwari, and Lakshvir Saran.
âVansh â The Kalyug Warriorsâ is heralded as Indiaâs first streaming Hindi-language superhero series, produced by TVF with Indusverse Comic. âPhoolanâ recounts a 48-hour siege in bandit queen Phoolan Devi’s life, written and directed by Richie Mehta and produced by Namah Pictures.
Sonakshi Sinha and Jyotika co-star in âSystem,â a courtroom drama about a public prosecutor clashing with a stenographer. Directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and produced by Baweja Studios, the film includes Ashutosh Gowariker. Sanya Malhotra plays the lead in âSundar Poonam,â a thriller set during a honeymoon, directed by Pulkit and produced by Abundantia Entertainment and TIPS Films Limited, with Aditya Rawal as co-star.
âAdarsh Baal Vidyalaya,â starring Kay Kay Menon and Naveen Kasturia, is a dark comedy about a headmaster trying to reform a failing school, directed by Himank Gaur and produced by Posham Pa Pictures. In âAnarth,â Gulshan Devaiah and Kalki Koechlin confront a sinister force in a supernatural thriller by Emmay Entertainment, with Parambrata Chattopadhyay and Sumedh Mudgalkar in the cast.
Aditi Rao Hydari, Barun Sobti, and Aparna Sen star in âWelcome to Khoya Mahal,â a drama about half-siblings managing a dilapidated heritage hotel. It is created and directed by Konkona Sensharma and Jaydeep Sarkar, produced by Dramsoc. âASI Babita Singh Reporting,â starring Nimisha Sajayan and Barun Sobti, follows a cop torn between a murder case and her marriageâs secrets, directed by Ambiecka Pandit and produced by Film Squad Productions and Act Three.
âRafoo,â a romantic comedy starring Maniesh Paul and Angira Dhar, is about a singer living with his ex-mother-in-law while his ex-wife resides upstairs. Produced by Edit II, it stars Ravi Kishan and Aditya Rawal in âTax Department Story,â where a new revenue officer takes on a white-collar criminal in Agra, produced by Reliance Entertainment and Dopamine Media. âNazdeekiyan,â from Dharmatic Entertainment, is a romantic drama with Paresh Pahuja and Nikita Dutta about couples torn between duty and desire. âDono Mile Iss Tarah,â also from Dharmatic, is a love story of two people reconnecting in their twenties, starring Zaeden and Katyani Mehra.
âThe Pyramid Schemeâ features Paramvir Cheema and Ranvir Shorey in a comedic take on a get-rich-quick scheme spiraling out of control, produced by The Viral Fever. âMess,â starring Ranvir Shorey and Gajraj Rao, involves a home invasion, produced by HRX Films and directed by Rajesh A. Krishnan. Ashish Chanchlani headlines âCollege Fest,â a zombie comedy from TVF. âCarnaame Badla Gear Palti Kismat,â from BBC Studios India and Pink Window Production, follows four friends in a car-theft ring. Banijay Asia produces an Indian adaptation of âThe Allianceâ to complete the unscripted lineup.
Hrithik Roshanâs HRX Films debuts its streaming series âStorm,â directed by Ajitpal Singh, about five women embroiled in a housing scam, starring Parvathy Thiruvothu, Alaya F, Srishti Shrivastava, Rrama Sharma, and Saba Azad. Alia Bhattâs Eternal Sunshine Productions launches âDonât Be Shy,â a coming-of-age tale directed by Sreeti Mukerji.
Returning series feature prominently. âFarziâ Season 2, with Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi, follows a counterfeiting war. âPanchayatâ Season 5 continues Jitendra Kumarâs journey as a government officer. âDahaadâ Season 2, from Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby, returns with Sonakshi Sinha and Gulshan Devaiah in a serial-killer investigation. âCall Me Baeâ Season 2 sees Ananya Pandayâs character navigating a new career and personal challenges.
âDupahiyaâ Season 2 reunites Gajraj Rao and Renuka Shahane for another crime adventure. The Viral Feverâs âAspirantsâ S3, âSandeep Bhaiyaâ Season 2, âSapne Vs Everyoneâ Season 2, and âGram Chikitsalayâ Season 2 bring back familiar stories with new twists. âThe Traitorsâ Season 2, hosted by Karan Johar, returns with celebrity contestants in a reality series.
âMirzapur: The Movieâ transitions the popular Excel Entertainment series to film, reuniting Ali Fazal and Pankaj Tripathi with a large cast, directed by Gurmmeet Singh and written by Puneet Krishna.
The Tamil slate kicks off with new seasons of âInspector Rishiâ and âVadhandhi,â alongside the drama âExam.â In Telugu, âGuvvala Cheruvu Ghat,â âGully,â âJagamae Sangeetham,â and âIsakapatnamâ explore diverse narratives. âThe Traitors Teluguâ will be hosted by Teja Sajja.
Amazon MGM Studios India unveils a theatrical slate of five films. âRaftaar,â starring Rajkummar Rao and Keerthy Suresh, explores the ethics of the ed-tech sector. Kunal Kemmu stars in âVibe,â a comedy of errors involving a terrorist plot. âDilkashiâ is a tale of love and betrayal directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery. âNayyi Navelliâ is a domestic thriller about a bride with secrets, starring Yami Gautam. âKuku Ki Kundli,â led by Bhuvan Bam and Wamiqa Gabbi, is a rom-com about astrological mishaps.
âOâ Romeo,â directed by Vishal Bharadwaj, leads the licensed slate, along with âDQ41,â âNaagzilla,â âVvan â Force of the Forrest,â and âG2,â a sequel to âGoodachari.â âDacoit â Oka Prema Kathaâ is also a part of the lineup.
