Joseph and Kendra Duggar are once again at the center of legal issues, putting both their family and TLC under a harsh spotlight.
Joseph faces an anticipated charge of lewd and lascivious molestation involving a child under the age of 12.
According to an affidavit, Joseph allegedly confessed to molesting a 9-year-old girl during a monitored phone call with the child’s father and a police detective.
In this call, Joseph “admitted his actions,” stating that “he touched the victim over her clothing,” as reported by an affidavit viewed by People.
He also reportedly acknowledged that “his intentions were not pure.”
Both Joseph and his wife, Kendra, face additional charges, including four counts each of endangering the welfare of a minor and false imprisonment.
Insiders claim that the network benefited for years while underlying issues allegedly remained unaddressed.
“They built an empire on that family,” a source remarked. “And now it’s collapsing under the weight of what was always there.”
As scrutiny intensifies, some argue that accountability should extend beyond the Duggars.
“TLC didn’t look away,” the insider stated. “They just kept filming.”
