More AI features out of the box

Samsung continues to enhance its AI offerings, bringing the Galaxy A57 and A37 closer to the capabilities of Google Gemini. These new mid-range models include advanced AI features under the ‘Awesome Intelligence’ umbrella.

Among these features is Voice Transcription, which allows real-time transcription of meetings and calls using Galaxy AI. Additionally, AI Select can now be accessed more swiftly, providing on-screen suggestions based on the content displayed.

For content creators, the Galaxy A57 now includes the Auto Trim feature, previously exclusive to flagship models, enabling automatic video editing. Moreover, both phones come with One UI 8.5, featuring an upgraded Bixby assistant for more interactive conversations.

Very minute camera tweaks

Those expecting significant camera upgrades similar to the Pixel 10a might be disappointed. The Galaxy A57 and A37 retain the same sensors as their predecessors.

However, there are improvements to the Image Signal Processor, potentially enhancing photo quality through Samsung’s software. While not hardware changes, these tweaks aim to provide better output, especially in the Nightography mode for improved low-light performance.

Improved durability across the board

Both the Galaxy A57 and A37 now offer upgraded durability with an IP68 rating, improving upon last year’s IP57 classification. This enhancement makes the devices more water-resistant.

The phones can withstand immersion in water up to 1.5 meters deep for about 30 minutes, offering peace of mind if accidentally submerged.

Despite the enhanced durability, the Galaxy A57 is now slimmer, measuring just 6.9mm compared to its predecessor’s 7.4mm. The A37, however, maintains its previous dimensions.

Big performance improvements for the Galaxy A57

Both models feature upgraded chipsets, with the Galaxy A57 powered by the new Exynos 1680 and the A37 utilizing the Exynos 1480 from the Galaxy A55. The A57 also benefits from a 13% larger vapor cooling chamber, enhancing its ability to perform at high levels without overheating.

An additional 512GB storage option is available for the A57, catering to users who prefer local storage over cloud solutions.

When is the Galaxy A57 & A37 release date?

The Samsung Galaxy A57 and A37 were officially launched on 25 March, and they will be available for purchase starting 10 April.

This schedule aligns with previous Galaxy A-series launches, which are typically revealed in March. U.S. availability is yet to be confirmed.

How much do the Galaxy A57 & A37 cost?

The Galaxy A37 maintains its predecessor’s price at £399, whereas the Galaxy A57 sees a price increase, starting at £529.
