During an appearance on her aunt’s show, My View with Lara Trump, the teen stated, “I just stay away from it. It doesn’t really affect me because, I don’t know, I know who I am.”
She continued, “It doesn’t really matter, to be honest. People say whatever they want to say at the end of the day. I know what’s true, and I know the type of person I am. It doesn’t really matter.”
The backlash followed Kai’s TikTok post, where she shared a clip of herself lip-syncing and showcasing her outfit. In the brief video, Kai appeared in her Palm Beach, Florida, bedroom, dressed in a light blue halter crop top and white pleated shorts.
Kai, the eldest grandchild of President Trump, mimed along to the Mama Mia movie soundtrack version of Abba’s Gimme Gimme Gimme, captioning it as “The greatest movie ever.”
