Patrick Mahomes has experienced numerous career highlights, but forming a connection with Taylor Swift stands out as particularly memorable.
Mahomes, 30, discussed his fondest memory with the Kansas City Chiefs, stating, “It would be to play at Arrowhead Stadium and just have all the fans and Chiefs Kingdom out there,” during the Lead to Read KC event on Thursday, April 2, as shared via X. He added, “That’s a lot of fun.”
He also noted, “I got to meet Taylor Swift, that was pretty cool too.”
Since the summer of 2023, when Swift, 36, and Travis Kelce began dating, the singer has become close to her fiancé’s teammates and their partners. Patrick, a close friend of Kelce, and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, have become part of the couple’s inner circle.
Following Swift’s first appearance at a Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium in September 2023, Patrick praised the Grammy winner as “really cool.”
He remarked, “[She’s] good people. But like Trav said, man, I’m going to let them have their privacy and just keep it moving.”
The group has enjoyed numerous double dates, with Brittany and Swift frequently supporting their partners at various Chiefs games.
When Swift and Kelce announced their engagement in August 2025, both Brittany and Patrick shared their excitement over the couple’s milestone.
Brittany expressed her happiness on her Instagram Story, stating, “Two of the most genuine people meet & fall in love. Just so happy for these two,” accompanied by a white heart and a crying-happy face emojis.
Patrick shared the news with multiple red heart emojis.
At Kelce and Patrick’s restaurant, 1587 Prime, the duo introduced drinks inspired by Swift and Brittany to the menu. Brittany’s drink is named the Queen B, while Swift’s is The Alchemy, inspired by a song she wrote about her romance with Kelce.

Patrick, an admirer of Swift’s music even before she began dating his best friend, expressed excitement about her album, The Life of a Showgirl, which was released the previous year. “I haven’t been able to hear the album yet, but I’m super-excited to be able to do that. And it’ll be blaring all through the Chiefs facility tomorrow. We’ll be supporting Taylor,” he said with enthusiasm.
