Denise Richards‘ daughter, Lola Sheen, has expressed her heartfelt tribute to family friend Patrick Muldoon, who passed away at the age of 57.
Lola, one of the daughters Richards shares with her ex-husband Charlie Sheen, took to Instagram on Monday, April 20, to share her emotions, revealing how she once urged her mother to reunite with Muldoon. Richards, now 55, and Muldoon had a brief romantic relationship in the 1990s but maintained a close friendship throughout his life.
Reflecting on her childhood, Lola, now 20, wrote alongside an old photo of Richards and Muldoon, “I always imagined you would be a part of our lives forever. It’s strange to think about moving forward without you, as you were such an integral part of our family. Life won’t feel the same, and that’s a testament to how much you meant to us.”
Lola continued, expressing gratitude, “Thank you for teaching everyone around you how to truly live. You epitomized fun. Iāll always remember the time we traveled with my mom, and you kept singing that ‘Lola’ song to me, making me laugh uncontrollably. That song will forever remind me of you.”
Lola further shared, “I will deeply miss hearing my mom’s laughter during phone calls with you. Your voice always lifted my spirits, and while I’ll miss it, I know my mom will miss it even more. Yet, your memory will live on in our conversations.”
She added, “Thank you for being a wonderful friend to her. You had the unique ability to make her laugh and help her forget her troubles. The bond you shared was special and untouchable. When I think of my mom, I think of you. You both were a package deal, and I am grateful to have witnessed such a genuine friendship.”
Lola concluded, “I always wished my mom and you would find your way back to each other, as I’m sure she told you, but being best friends was even better. You truly were a rock star, Pat, and you always will be. Enjoy yourself up there… I know you will. Love you.”
Patrick Muldoon passed away on Sunday, April 19, after suffering a heart attack. He and Denise Richards first shared the screen in 1997’s Starship Troopers. They later reunited in several holiday-themed TV movies, including A Christmas Reunion (2015) and My Adventures With Santa (2019).
Denise Richards and her family have never shied away from the camera. The actress first invited fans into her life during her two-season stint on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills from 2019 to 2020. In 2025, she offered more insights into her life through her own Bravo reality series, Denis Richards.
More recently, Richards appeared as Muldoonās love interest in the 2025 music video for his song “Gray Again.” The creation of the video was featured on Richards’ Bravo reality show, Denise Richards & Her Wild Things.
Richards is currently engaged in a contentious divorce with her estranged second husband Aaron Phypers, who filed for divorce in July 2025 after six years of marriage.
