Donald Trump’s tenure has demonstrated twice that not everyone is suited for the role, a fact that has not gone unnoticed by the American public.

Over 60% of respondents feel Trump is indifferent to people like them, with only 37% believing he cares, a decrease from a peak of 44% in 2024.
Furthermore, 55% believe Trump lacks the mental acuity needed to serve, an increase of 7 points since late 2024 and close to the 56% figure in 2023. By comparison, 65% questioned former President Biden’s mental fitness around the time he withdrew from his re-election bid in July 2024.
During his second term, Donald Trump has reportedly fallen asleep multiple times during Oval Office events. Republicans are becoming increasingly concerned they may face defeat in the midterm elections. Trump’s tariffs have severely impacted the US economy, and he has initiated a conflict in the Middle East, exacerbating the economic damage.
