Police reported that a teenager was stabbed to death in the Bronx on Wednesday afternoon.
Authorities arrived at the front of a building on Beach Avenue in the Soundview area shortly after 4:30 p.m., where they found 17-year-old Jonathan Melo with a stab wound to his back.
Melo was quickly transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi in critical condition but was later declared dead, according to police.
No arrests have been made, and the motive for the attack remains unknown.
The investigation is still ongoing.
