Jenna Elfman has joined the cast of Fox’s upcoming series “The Interrogator.”
Elfman will star alongside Stephen Fry, the series lead, as well as Luke Kleintank and Michael Beach. The series, which was announced in February, has received a straight-to-series order for 12 episodes.
“The Interrogator” follows MI6 agent Conrad Henry (played by Fry) and his elite team. When standard methods fail, Henry’s unique charm, sharp intellect, and unconventional behavioral techniques make him the only one capable of unlocking the minds of the world’s most dangerous criminals.
Elfman will portray the character Woodrow, a regular role in the series. Woodrow is depicted as a former rising star in the CIA whose career suffered after a mission went wrong. She now works at the D.I.A., serving as a handler for Henry’s team. Viewing it as a setback in her career, she hopes to regain her former status. Woodrow oversees Henry’s cases, often challenging and clashing with him, as Conrad stays several steps ahead, while she lags slightly behind. Despite their differences, the two share a mutual respect, forming an intriguing partnership.
This role marks Elfman’s return to broadcast television, having gained fame with her role in the ABC sitcom “Dharma & Greg,” which aired for five seasons and earned her three Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe. She has since appeared in several other series, including ABC’s “Shifting Gears” and AMC’s “Dark Winds,” as well as a lead role in AMC’s “Fear the Walking Dead.”
Elfman is represented by WME, Artists First, and Latham & Watkins.
The pilot script for “The Interrogator” was written by Fry, with revisions by Matt Pyken and William Harper. Dan Dworkin and Jay Beattie are executive producers and showrunners. Fry also serves as an executive producer alongside Harper and Paul McGuigan, who will direct. The series also lists Anthony Bregman, Miriam Mintz, Pyken, Neil Burger, and Anonymous Content as executive producers.
