A man caused quite a spectacle at a Manhattan marina on Saturday when he decided to go on a naked joyride in a small dinghy on the Hudson River. The 40-year-old Brooklyn man, who appeared to be in good physical shape, made quite the splash as he hopped into the dinghy at the Dykman Street Marina around noon.

According to police reports, the man had been acting erratically at the marina and was asked to leave by employees. After initially leaving the marina fully clothed, he returned a few minutes later completely naked and proceeded to jump into the dinghy, sailing off into the river before anyone could stop him.

Authorities were quickly notified, and the NYPD’s Aviation and Harbor Units sprang into action to track down the daring sailor. The man didn’t stop at just one boat, though. He made his way to a moored catamaran and leaped on board, showcasing his agility and audacity.

Law enforcement sources described the man’s antics as he jumped from one boat to the other, creating quite a scene on the water. Harbor cops eventually caught up with him on the catamaran, arresting him and taking him into custody. The man, whose identity has not been released, was later taken to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital for treatment.

It was reported that the man was believed to be under the influence of methamphetamines at the time of the incident. The bizarre escapade came to an end thanks to the quick response of the authorities, ensuring that no one was harmed during the man’s naked nautical adventure.

The incident serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of human behavior and the importance of swift action by law enforcement to ensure public safety. The man’s escapade may have been entertaining for onlookers, but it also highlights the risks involved when individuals engage in reckless behavior on the water.
