The actor famous for his role in Walker, Texas Ranger, Chuck Norris, met Dianne Holechek, his high school sweetheart, during their time at North High School in Torrance, California, in the 1950s.
In a 1985 interview, Norris recounted their early years: “We went together for almost two years, and she was 15 when I started dating her. I was 16 at the time, and then I married her when she was 17.”
The couple tied the knot in 1958. As Norris pursued his acting career, notably starring in The Way of the Dragon, Holechek provided unwavering support by accompanying him on his various projects.
Norris explained, “If you go separate ways, then you know something’s going to happen. But, she travels with me to my locations, and she’s on location most of the time, so we don’t separate for any extended period of time.”
However, in 1988, the couple announced their separation after three decades of marriage. Their divorce was finalized the following year, but they maintained a positive relationship as they co-parented their children.
In December 2025, Holechek passed away after a prolonged battle with dementia. Norris paid tribute to her, reflecting on their enduring bond. He shared on Facebook, “After being married for 30 years, we were able to find a way to remain close friends, and those years of friendship meant the world to me. Even as our lives took different directions, we continued to care deeply for one another, and I will forever cherish the memories we built together.”
