Sue “GrammaCrackers,” an 82-year-old Twitch streamer and YouTuber famous for her Minecraft gaming, recently experienced a swatting incident and discussed it in a YouTube video. GrammaCrackers, known for her Minecraft content aimed at raising funds for her grandson’s cancer treatment, has become quite popular online.

Her initiative led to a rapid increase in her YouTube following, surpassing 500,000 subscribers in just a month.

On May 19, 2026, a brief 42-second clip from Sue’s Minecraft livestream gained traction on Reddit, showing police officers entering her room and conducting a search.

Following the incident, GrammaCrackers’ grandson informed the online community through a post on X, explaining that false threats were made, prompting a police and SWAT team response at her residence:

“GrammaCrackers, my 82 Year-Old Grandma who’s streaming Minecraft, was swatted last night on stream, where dozens of police & swat were at her house, drones, and 20 vehicles up and down the street. Someone called with false threats, GrammaCrackers said to police: “If you all got what you need I’m tired, I am exploring the nether in the morning””

“It was kind of fun” – GrammaCrackers addresses the community after getting swatted

In a 14-minute and 10-second YouTube video titled I Got Swatted, GrammaCrackers shared her experience with her community. Describing the events after being swatted, Sue noted:

“They (police officers) walked me out, and I didn’t know what was going on. But it was kind of fun. It was. It was kind of fun. My grandkid and my kid, they were hugging me. You know? You can’t get that much attention normally. I was getting all kinds of hug. I was really eating it up. It was kind of fun. And then, I got to ride in the police car; I’ve never been in a police car before. Got to ride in the police car to my apartment, and then it was all over. So I thought, ‘Well, I got to go to bed.’ So I took an Ibuprofen and went to bed. So, what can I say?”
