Kyle Busch first encountered Samantha Busch in 2007 when she was employed as a promotional model.
In a 2023 Instagram post, Samantha, a lifestyle blogger, reminisced about their initial meeting. “Sixteen years ago, the agency I worked for sent me to Indianapolis to promote Chevy at the races. I was about to enter my senior year at Purdue, a sorority girl not particularly sporty. It was my first time at a race track!” she shared.
Samantha recalled the day being “crazy hot,” and when offered a ride in one of the race cars by a staff member, she eagerly accepted.
She recounted, “I jumped into the car and my first comment to him, in his Chevy tee and cool car, was, ‘Wow, you got a way better assignment than I did.’ He gave me a puzzled look, assuming I recognized him, and we set off. I did most of the talking, and then invited him to join a group outing that night, which he declined because he had to work. Unbeknownst to me, he had a truck race. I thought that was it until Mr. Shy had someone ask for my number.”
The two kept in touch over the phone until Samantha graduated from Purdue University in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
Kyle proposed to Samantha at the Daytona International Speedway, and they were married at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago on December 31, 2010.
In 2015, the couple established The Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund, aimed at supporting families and couples with IVF and fertility treatments.
