WWE legend Rey Mysterio recently shared insights about a perilous moment from his past, which he suggested himself. This veteran wrestler was honored with an induction into the company’s Hall of Fame during the WrestleMania 39 weekend in Los Angeles.
During an interview on Going Ringside, Mysterio recounted how he proposed to be thrown like a dart into a production truck by Kevin Nash during his WCW tenure. This memorable scene remains iconic, and Mysterio confessed he hadn’t anticipated its lasting impact on fans at the time.
“I actually offered to do that. When you’re young, you don’t think about repercussions, which is normal in our business. You want to make things look good and you’re willing to give whatever it takes to make that segment stand out. At the time, I never thought it would still be talked about 25 years later, but it is. 30 years later. To me, it was normal. Obviously, it wasn’t,” he said. (H/T: WrestlePurists)

Chad Gable intervened, earning a huge response from the crowd. He returned Mysterio’s mask, and both wrestlers exchanged gestures of respect, concluding the segment.
