Take-Two Issues DMCA Takedown on GTA 6 “Walkthrough” Stream on YouTube
On June 15, 2026, a YouTube channel by the name @vepko1 began streaming a GTA 6 Walkthrough Gameplay, labeling it as “Part 1,” suggesting plans for a series. With only 51 subscribers at the time, the stream garnered just two views before being removed, leaving its content largely unknown.
Following the takedown by Take-Two Interactive, the event quickly gained attention on social media. Speculation arose about what the stream might have contained to prompt such a swift DMCA action. The channel’s subscriber count surged to 456.
The rapid removal of the stream contributed to its viral status. While YouTube typically has automated systems for flagging copyright infringements, this instance of takedown was notably swift.
Saukko505, a recognized member of the GTA 6 mapping project, suggested that the stream might have featured clips from the 2022 leaks, which are automatically flagged on YouTube. Saukko505 also mentioned that this channel has previously uploaded fake leaks.
It is unusual for fans to create walkthrough videos for a game that is still five months from release. Rockstar Games’ highly anticipated title is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has confirmed that marketing for the game will commence in the summer, beginning on June 21, 2026.
