Sol Ruca currently holds the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Having joined the main roster earlier this year, she has been carving out her reputation in the wrestling world. However, she now faces criticism from some fans.
On June 21, at a WWE Live Event held at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham, United Kingdom, Liv Morgan defended her Women’s World Title in a Fatal Four-Way match against Ruca, Lyra Valkyria, and IYO SKY. During the match, Ruca attempted her signature Sol Snatcher move on Morgan but failed, resulting in Morgan landing awkwardly.
Thanks for the submission!
Liv Morgan was seen clutching her right knee in pain and left the ring, raising concerns about a potential injury. Despite this, she completed the match, retained her title, and was able to walk unassisted. Though she portrays a heel character, Morgan has a dedicated fanbase that likely expressed their displeasure towards Sol Ruca after the incident.
Wrestling fans can be harsh critics, and the Women’s Intercontinental Champion may have felt their wrath. Following the event, Ruca has made her X/Twitter profile private, a change from its previous public status.

Despite this controversy, Sol Ruca’s main roster career has been notable. She captured her first title after defeating Becky Lynch, a three-time Women’s Intercontinental Champion, at Clash in Italy on May 31. Ruca has also successfully defended her title on television against Lyra Valkyria.
Newly Crowned Champion Takes Shot at Sol Ruca
NXT Superstar Zaria triumphed over Tatum Paxley on June 9, capturing the Women’s North American Championship on the black and silver brand.
Following her victory, Zaria took to X/Twitter to subtly criticize her former friend Sol Ruca with a pointed emoji. Although they are on separate brands, the 27-year-old Australian powerhouse made her feelings about the Women’s Intercontinental Champion clear. It remains to be seen if their rivalry is over, or if they will cross paths again soon.
