A man has been taken into custody in relation to a series of indecent assaults targeting women in the areas surrounding Hagley Park and Wigram.Â
The police had been requesting assistance from the public to identify the suspect, circulating photos of an individual they thought could assist in their inquiries.Â
Today, Detective Constable Louise Piper announced that a 30-year-old man has been arrested concerning these incidents, which are said to have occurred over several months. Â
The man is scheduled to appear in the Christchurch District Court on Wednesday, facing four charges of indecent assault against females over the age of 16, according to Piper.Â
“Police extend their gratitude to everyone who contributed following the appeal,” she stated.Â
