Livia Schück, who has been single-handedly designing the past two Rave Review seasons while Josephine Bergqvist is on maternity leave, emphasizes that her creative process is rooted in the collaboration the two friends established. Schück’s individual collections, together with the brand’s joint effort in the spring 2026 show, complete a trilogy that introduces a fresh sense of lightness.

The founders of Rave Review have decided to step back from the patchwork technique that initially brought them significant attention. This method, which relied solely on existing materials, had begun to feel repetitive. Schück noted it was time to explore new methods to “mix and merge different fabrics.”

One key innovation is fabric bonding. Schück introduces a romantic and airy feel by layering sheer organza over a printed bed sheet and then cutting away parts of the top layer to expose the one beneath. The removed pieces are reattached to the garment, giving an effect reminiscent of “butterflies.” In one outfit, two floral textiles are bonded, and the cutouts appear to be peeling off. Additional fabric combinations were achieved through two-in-one designs and layering.

Schück drew inspiration from paper dolls, snipping not only bonded fabrics but also creating small slits at the hems of slip dresses and cutting open the backs.

The collection introduces innovations through slippery materials and draping, such as dresses featuring a “waterfall” design. “I think we never really worked this much with silks,” Schück commented. “There’s a lot of quite fine and fluid materials.” These supple fabrics contribute to the “wearable, summery, feminine” aesthetic Schück aimed for. The painted shoes, inspired by vintage clogs with traditional Dalmålning motifs, add a touch of Swedish summer.

Schück focused on creating pieces that she personally desires to wear, describing them as “easy, flattering, also quite transformative.” This includes a trench coat with a detachable scarf and wrap skirts and ties that allow the wearer to adjust the fit and appearance of the garments as they wish.
