Logan Browning relocated from Los Angeles to Atlanta just as she was cast as FBI agent Sarah Greer in Harlan Coben’s new Netflix series, “I Will Find You.”
“Maybe there’s something special in the water in Atlanta because it all worked out,” Browning shares during a Zoom interview.
Sarah is no ordinary FBI agent; her partner at the Boston bureau is also her father, Max Williams, portrayed by Chi McBride.
This father-daughter duo exemplifies Coben’s knack for making the extraordinary seem plausible, a hallmark of his binge-worthy storytelling.
“During my research, I thought, ‘This wouldn’t happen,’” Browning says with a laugh. “The producers explained, ‘They have special privileges due to his tenure.’ I’m pioneering father-daughter FBI teams. You’re welcome.”

The series, consisting of eight episodes, follows Sarah and Max as they pursue David Burroughs (Sam Worthington), an escaped prisoner attempting to clear his name after being wrongfully convicted of his son Matthew’s murder. Brit Lower joins the cast as David’s former sister-in-law, a journalist convinced of his innocence. Milo Ventimiglia plays Rachel’s affluent ex-boyfriend Hayden, while Madeline Stowe takes on the role of his ominous mother.
This thrilling cat-and-mouse chase includes scenes of David and Sarah making daring jumps between Boston rooftops. “I can hop buildings, didn’t you know that?” Browning jokes.
In the climax, Sarah aids David in proving his innocence and clearing his name.
“During the rooftop scene, Sam suggested, ‘They need to lock eyes a few times because they will team up quickly by the end,’” Browning recalls. “For me, there was a moment when David was about to leap that felt like a shared understanding between them.”
While Browning was familiar with firearms, she found Worthington to be an excellent mentor. “Even though Sam’s character rarely uses guns, he has extensive experience with them,” Browning notes. “In one scene, director Maggie Kiley wanted me to reload, and Sam taught me on the spot. Watching him was incredibly cool.”
All eight episodes of “I Will Find You” are available on Netflix.
