90 Day Fiancé alum Armando Niedermeier-Rubio has successfully obtained a visa, allowing him to reunite with his 13-year-old daughter, Hannah, who is currently hospitalized in Arizona.
On Friday, July 17, Armando, 37, arrived in the United States from Mexico. According to footage acquired by TMZ, he was seen greeting his husband, Kenny Niedermeier, outside the medical facility. The outlet further noted that Armando later surprised Hannah.
Kenny, 63, shared with TMZ that his stepdaughter, whom Armando had with his late wife, was unaware that her father would eventually join her at the hospital.
“In the video she was in shock after seeing her father and she kept asking if it was real,” Kenny commented on the emotional reunion between the father and daughter. “She seems to even be improving more since his arrival.”
On Tuesday, July 14, Armando shared via Instagram that his daughter’s condition had quickly worsened after she unexpectedly suffered a brain bleed. The teen was then transferred from their small Mexican town to Arizona for medical care.
Due to ongoing visa complications, Armando was unable to accompany his daughter. (Kenny was at Hannah’s side after returning from Ohio, where he had attended a funeral earlier this month.)
“I went to the border. The hospital directly sensed the gravity of the situation, how Hannah was being airlifted to Phoenix ICU,” Armando explained in a Thursday, July 16, social media update. “They sent all the necessary documents to the border. When I arrived at the border, I arrived with my documents as well. Never was the letter from the hospital reviewed and never were any of my documents asked of me — nothing was checked. I was just told, ‘Nope, we do not do this here. … There’s no option for you,’ and on my way I went.”
Meanwhile, Armando’s mother and sister were able to travel to the United States with Hannah because they are “legal residents” of the country.
As Armando collaborated with an immigration attorney to obtain an emergency visa, he shared details of the distressing medical situation with his followers.
“I don’t want to lose her,” he expressed tearfully in a follow-up Instagram video posted on Thursday. “Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers, guys. Thank you all who supported [us] … All the love that’s coming our way. I can’t thank any of you enough. You guys all have been angels through this. You made it a little easier even though I can’t be with her. Love you all, guys!”
Armando and Kenny’s relationship began on season 2 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, when Kenny moved to Mexico from Florida. The couple got married in 2021.
