The prequel series “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” on Apple TV is set to feature three additional cast members.
According to Variety, Corey Stoll (“Imperfect Women,” “Appropriate,” “Billions”), Ralph Inneson (“The Witch,” “The Fantastic Four: First Steps”), and Nyasha Hatendi (“Agatha Christie’s The Seven Dials,” “Casual”) have joined the cast of the series, which was initially announced in December 2025.
They will appear alongside lead actor Wyatt Russell, who is reprising his role as Lee Shaw, with Millie Brady and Pilou Asbaek also part of the cast. Specific character details for the new cast members remain undisclosed.
Corey Stoll is represented by Suskin/Karshan Management, UTA, and SRDA Law. Ralph Inneson is represented by Gordon and French and Gersh. Nyasha Hatendi is represented by The Artists Partnership, Principal Entertainment, Granderson Des Rochers, and Gingham PR.
The show’s premise centers on Colonel Lee Shaw (played by Russell), an American operative on a covert mission in 1984 to prevent the Soviets from deploying a massive Titan capable of devastating the U.S. and altering the course of the Cold War.
Joby Harold is writing, executive producing, and showrunning the series through Safehouse Pictures. Harold is under a comprehensive deal with Legendary Entertainment, which is producing the series, and is working on several Monsterverse projects. Tory Tunnell of Safehouse, along with Russell, Andy Goddard, Kyle Bradstreet, Jim Skotchdopole, Max Borenstein, Chris Black, and Alex Boden, will also serve as executive producers. JD Dillard will direct and executive produce. Hiro Matsuoka and Takemasa Arita will executive produce for Toho Co., Ltd., the owner of the Godzilla character. Toho has licensed the rights to “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” to Legendary.
