Marjorie Taylor Greene, a former ardent supporter of Trump, echoed concerns about his recent actions.
Once an ex-congresswoman aligned with MAGA, Greene has since created distance from the movement due to a conflict with Trump over the handling of Epstein-related documents. She expressed doubt that Trump’s comments about seeking a third presidential term were merely in jest during an interview with Megyn Kelly.
βI am keen to understand his mental condition and his motivations because it is not aligned with the American public’s interests. He is deceiving and reneging on his commitments,β Greene remarked at the time.
Greene, aged 52, reiterated her apprehensions about Trump in a conversation with conservative analyst Alex Jones.
βHe frequently mentions it to make the notion seem acceptable, gauge support, and observe reactions,β Greene commented regarding Trump’s potential 2028 election bid. βIt is extremely hazardous, and acceptance is unacceptable.β
βA third term is impossible,β she added. βIt contradicts our legal framework and the Constitution. No third term exists. Even if the nation is at war, elections must proceed.β
