Would I opt for a notification light instead? No, not really. I’ve never understood the appeal of such features in competing phones, like the Glyph interface from Nothing.
When I occasionally place my phone face-down on a surface, it’s usually to avoid interruptions or distractions. In those moments, I choose to disconnect from my phone. Therefore, if any manufacturer decides to incorporate a flashing light system on the back of a device, rest assured, I will disable it.

There’s a possibility Google might invent something unique with this light. However, its small size makes me skeptical about its ability to rival Nothing’s more comprehensive Glyph system, known for providing diverse animated indicators and timers over the years.
I’m hesitant to declare the Pixel 11 as the better choice just yet. I need to evaluate any other enhancements it offers (improved camera technology would be appreciated) and consider the extent of the announced price increases.
