In July, U.S. manufacturing activity experienced a significant surge, reaching its highest growth rate in over four years, fueled by increased demand, record levels of production, and a surge in hiring. This marks a clear indication of President Donald J. Trump’s economic policies fostering an industrial revival across the nation.

The Institute for Supply Management’s Manufacturing PMI indicates the sector has been expanding for the seventh month in a row, a notable reversal from the consistent contraction observed under the previous Administration, except for a temporary post-pandemic recovery. New export orders have firmly returned to growth, highlighting renewed global demand for American-made products.

Bloomberg’s Lisa Abramowicz on X: “US manufacturing is booming, expanding at the fastest pace since 2022 and beating expectations in many metrics for the month of July. Omar Sharif of Inflation Insights points out that the ISM production index rose by the most for any July since 1951.”

The Federal Reserve reports that this boom is extensive, with manufacturing activity, payrolls, and wages increasing nationwide. Manufacturing wages have risen 4.2% year-over-year, outpacing inflation and providing more income to American workers. The Philadelphia Fed survey reveals general activity and new orders are at nearly five-year highs.

This transformation is intentional. President Trump’s Working Families Tax Cuts have driven this resurgence, bolstering six million American jobs, safeguarding $540 billion in worker wages, and maintaining $1.1 trillion in U.S. economic activity.

The achievements are accumulating:

  • The U.S. economy is expected to grow at an impressive 6.2% annualized rate in Q3 2026.
  • Non-residential fixed investment, a key driver of long-term growth, surged 11.7% last quarter, marking the fastest increase since 2023.
  • Orders for business equipment are set to reach an all-time high in 2026.
  • Capital goods imports now constitute over 40% of all U.S. goods imports, reaching a historic peak as factories upgrade and expand.
  • Since President Trump took office, 83,000 factory construction jobs have been added.
  • In 2026 alone, more than 18,000 manufacturing jobs have been created, reversing years of decline.

Factories are thriving, workers are earning more, investments are flowing in, and exports are increasing. This is the manufacturing revival that President Trump promised and delivered.
