As reported by court documents acquired by TMZ, Karen was detained in Las Vegas on June 17. She faced charges including misdemeanor harassment, breaching a temporary protective order against domestic violence, attempting to prevent a witness from testifying through threats or force, and aggravated stalking related to domestic violence. Karen was released from custody on June 21 and appeared in court on June 23.
The complaint claims she sent threatening messages to Deon, suggesting harm to him and their children.
In one alleged message, she wrote, “I want you dead,” and further stated, “I could kill you, and it won’t even bother me to go to jail and I’ll kill any of my kids if they take your side.”
Further details in the documents suggest Karen allegedly indicated she possessed a gun and made threats against him, his new partner, and his children, asserting that ending his life would be straightforward and that he would suffer a slow demise.
Deon addressed these accusations during an interview with Us Weekly, stating, “She didn’t specify which one. It was a brawl. Like, ‘I’ll kill y’all. I’ll go to jail for it. I’ll gladly go to jail for it.’ That was said several times.”
Conversely, Karen’s legal representative dismissed the charges as “total nonsense and fabricated by Mr. Derrico” in a statement.
“This has everything to do with him being spiteful and malicious and nothing to do with him being frightened or harassed,” the lawyer added.
