Highlander actor Christopher Lambert experienced a medical emergency at a Pennsylvania convention.
On Saturday, August 8, the organizers of Steel City Con in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, announced that Lambert had to depart due to a personal issue. This led to the cancellation of his photo session for Saturday, and it remained uncertain if he would return to the event later in the weekend.
According to TMZ, the 69-year-old Lambert was signing autographs when he unexpectedly collapsed and was subsequently taken away by ambulance.
The incident raised concerns among fans at Steel City Con regarding the famed action star’s health.
âOh no, sending a prayer his way,â commented one attendee on Steel City Con’s Facebook post.
Another visitor shared, âWe met him earlier. I noticed he wasnât feeling well and had a cold. Prayers he is okay.â
âPrayers for a quick recovery, healing. First responders, staff, security, constables did a great job handling the medical emergency,â another fan remarked.
Lambertâs spokesperson later told TMZ that the actor is âperfectly OK,â attributing the incident to a likely drop in blood sugar caused by insufficient sleep and food.
Although Lambert was released from medical care and returned to his hotel to rest, his management stated it was uncertain if he would return to Steel City Con on Sunday, August 9.

His team mentioned that Lambert should have enough time to recover before appearing at the Fan Expo Chicago at Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois, from August 14 to August 16.
Lambert previously experienced a health scare in early 2025 when he fell down stairs at a hotel, injuring his back. This injury forced him to cancel a March 2025 appearance at the Swedish festival SciFiWorld to allow time for recovery.
âAs an actor, filming and promoting his films are of utmost importance, and while he highly respects event organizers and fans, he unfortunately could not attend the comic con,â his representatives stated at the time.
Lambert is renowned for his portrayal of Connor MacLeod, the immortal Scottish swordsman, in the Highlander film and TV series, as well as Raiden in the 1995 film Mortal Kombat. Other significant roles include the 1984 adventure movie Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes, the mob drama The Sicilian, and portraying the terrorist The Corsican on The Blacklist.
