“Justin Jefferson should request a trade,” a fan suggested.
“This pass just has to be ragebait,” another fan commented.
“Pray for Justin Jefferson. He’s not hurt, Kyler Murray and J.J. McCarthy are just a**. Going to be another rough season for the Vikings passing game,” one fan wrote.

“This is absolutely awful lmao,” another fan said.
The Vikings signed Kyler Murray on a one-year contract following a lackluster 2025 season under J.J. McCarthy. Murray took over as QB1 after missing his rookie season due to injury. McCarthy, however, endured multiple injuries, limiting him to just 10 games, and the Vikings ended with a 9-8 record.
Murray was picked first by the Arizona Cardinals in 2019. He spent seven seasons with them, amassing 20,460 passing yards and 121 touchdowns. Last season, he played in only five games due to a foot injury, leading to his release in March.

Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell shares his thoughts on quarterback competition between Kyler Murray and J.J. McCarthy
The battle for the starting quarterback position between Kyler Murray and J.J. McCarthy is intensifying. Coach Kevin O’Connell discussed this competition last month on the “Good Morning Football” show.
O’Connell stated that the number of repetitions is not a crucial factor in this competition, emphasizing that training camp priorities will evolve over time.
“Not necessarily something where there’s going to be a need to count the reps,” O’Connell said. “The intent is to provide both guys with what they need throughout the competition and ultimately give us a chance to have a thorough understanding of exactly where we’re at and what’s going to be the best thing for the Minnesota Vikings.”
The Vikings will start their season with a Week 1 clash against the Green Bay Packers, set for September 13 at 4:25 p.m. ET.
