Pennsylvania Democrats are indicating
their discontent with Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA).
Many Democrats in Pennsylvania feel let down by Fetterman, who campaigned as a blue-collar progressive but seems to have misinterpreted the 2024 election results. They believe he mistakenly concluded that the state is shifting rightward and that he could retain his Senate seat by following this perceived trend.
A Quinnipiac University poll conducted in July 2026 in Pennsylvania revealed that
Fetterman’s approval rating is bolstered by Republicans:
Among Republicans, 77 percent approve and 12 percent disapprove of Fetterman’s performance. In contrast, 69 percent of Democrats disapprove, with only 19 percent approving. Independents are divided, with 48 percent disapproving and 44 percent approving of his job performance.
Additionally, 52 percent of voters would prefer Fetterman to leave the Democratic Party, while 31 percent want him to remain, and 16 percent have no opinion.
The poll also showed that Fetterman holds a 19% approval rating among Pennsylvania Democrats.
Fetterman’s apparent shift to the right has upset his supporters, and recent reports suggest he is now receiving requests from Trump.
