On Fox 2 News’ “Good Day Detroit,” a co-anchor struggled to maintain composure during a conversation about eating beaver.
While discussing History’s reality survival show “Alone,” co-host Deena Centofanti explained how contestants must catch their own food. She remarked, “If you can provide yourself with food and, again, now, they’re ice fishing, because everything is frozen, you’re looking for fat in the beaver. The beaver is the most sought-after.”
This mention of beaver prompted co-host Ryan Ermanni to burst into laughter, likely due to the slang connotation of the word.
Undeterred, Centofanti continued, asking, “Ryan, do you think you could eat beaver? Because it’s fat and then it’s meat?”
Ermanni, with his head in his hands and struggling to stifle his laughter, responded, “Oh God.”
After regaining some composure, he added, “Yeah. I don’t know. I don’t know anything about this show, but you’re really funny. You’re a really funny gal.”
The clip spread rapidly on social media.
Centofanti later shared online that “you learn stuff” from the televised survival competition.
