In an unexpected development, Debra Messing found herself caught up in the notorious 2014 Sony hack alongside Angelina Jolie. The incident, infamous for exposing private communications, included emails in which studio executives harshly criticized the Girl, Interrupted Oscar winner, with one executive labeling her a “minimally talented spoiled brat.”
Jolie later dismissed these disparaging comments, stating, “I didn’t read any of them. Someone told me,” and added, “Personal attacks on me? I think I’m just so used to it.”
A Hollywood insider remarked, “No one is safe in Hollywood anymore because, in a matter of seconds, personal information, email addresses, and cell phone numbers can be stolen.” The source suggested that Angelina and Debra Messing might be feeling unsettled, believing they had moved past the 2014 Sony hack, only to find themselves vulnerable once more due to this latest breach.
Fowler, who shared his research in a July 25 exposé, revealed that he discovered “potentially sensitive information, including email addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses, and hashed passwords.”
