âThe Royalsâ is Pednekar’s first foray into long-format storytelling, and she expressed her excitement about working with Netflix on the project. Describing it as a mix of romance and comedy, she praised the show for its layered and nuanced performances by a talented cast that includes veteran Zeenat Aman and rising star Ishaan Khatter.
On the other hand, âDaldalâ offers Pednekar a chance to explore a complex character in a psychological thriller setting. She described the role as challenging and different from her work on âThe Royals.â

As an advocate for the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Pednekar also voiced her concerns about climate change. She highlighted the impact of pollution on children’s education in Delhi and emphasized the need for collective action to address environmental challenges.
Reflecting on the global conversation around climate change denial, Pednekar urged individuals to use their voices to advocate for science-based solutions. She emphasized the power of collective action in driving positive change.
This year marked Pednekar’s third appearance at IFFI, where she emphasized the festival’s role in nurturing emerging talent and providing a platform for creative exchange. She encouraged young filmmakers to seize opportunities for collaboration and artistic growth within the industry.
