AMC Networks International U.K. and PBS America are among the latest channels to join the free TV streaming service, Freely, in the U.K.
The two broadcasters, along with news network GB News and shopping channel QVC, have recently signed a deal with Everyone TV, the organization behind Freely, to offer their channels on the platform.
With these new partnerships, Freely now boasts over 40 live channels and more than 74,000 hours of on-demand content available for streaming, eliminating the need for traditional aerials or satellite dishes.
Freely, accessible on next-gen smart TVs, is supported by U.K. public service broadcasters BBC, ITV, Channel 4, and Channel 5.
AMC Networks International U.K. will be live streaming its free-to-air channels, including Legend and True Crime, via Freely. On the other hand, PBS America will bring its factual schedule to the platform, featuring content from renowned filmmaker Ken Burns and the news series “Frontline.”
QVC will showcase its flagship QVC channel as well as QVC2, which offers dedicated segments on style, garden, and beauty. Additionally, GB News will provide its live TV channel for viewers on Freely.
Viewers can expect these new channels and on-demand content to be available starting early 2025.
Jonathan Thompson, CEO at Everyone TV, expressed excitement about the new collaborations, stating, “These new partnerships mark a significant milestone as Freely continues to redefine the streaming experience. We aim to offer a diverse range of content across various genres, from groundbreaking storytelling to engaging shopping experiences. We look forward to further collaboration within the industry to bring even more entertaining and engaging content to Freely.”
Stay tuned for the launch of these new channels and content on Freely for a unique and competitive free viewing experience.
