The streaming landscape continues to be dominated by captivating original content, with “The Madness” emerging as the clear frontrunner in the U.S. during the week of Nov. 29-Dec. 5. Led by the talented Colman Domingo, this limited series garnered a staggering 2.2 billion minutes of viewership on Netflix in its first full week of availability. Notably, this achievement marks the first time since “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story” that a title has surpassed the 2 billion-minute mark on Luminate’s charts, debuting with an impressive 2.7 billion minutes watched back in September.

Following closely behind “The Madness” is “Landman,” which captured the attention of audiences with 1.2 billion minutes watched during the same timeframe. The Taylor Sheridan-created series, “Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey,” and “Lioness” Season 2 also made significant impacts, each accumulating millions of minutes in viewership. The success of “Lioness” Season 2 was further highlighted by its first season, which continued to draw in viewers and secure a spot on the charts.

On the film front, “Our Little Secret” claimed the top spot with a billion minutes watched, showcasing its appeal to audiences. Meanwhile, “Nutcrackers,” featuring Ben Stiller, made a strong debut in second place, followed by “Spellbound” in third. These films captivated viewers with their compelling narratives and performances, solidifying their positions on the chart.

As the streaming landscape evolves, it’s clear that engaging storytelling and stellar performances continue to drive viewership. With a diverse range of content available across platforms, audiences have a plethora of options to choose from. Whether it’s a gripping series like “The Madness” or a captivating film like “Our Little Secret,” there’s no shortage of entertainment to enjoy.
