Disney+ Hotstar India Series “Thukra Ke Mera Pyaar” Breaks Records
Disney+ Hotstar India’s latest series, “Thukra Ke Mera Pyaar,” has taken the streaming platform by storm, becoming the most-watched show of 2024 in just 16 days. The Hindi-language drama has also garnered the highest subscriber count for any show on the platform in the past four years, setting new benchmarks for success.
Set in the heartland of India, the series features a talented cast including newcomers Dhaval Thakur and Sanchita Bashu in lead roles, alongside established actors Aniruddha Dave and Kapil Kanpuriya. The show is the brainchild of writer Kamal Pandey and is produced by Sachin Pandey’s Bombay Show Studios, with Shraddha Pasi Jairath at the helm as director.

Lead actress Sanchita Bashu, who plays Shanvika in the series, emphasized the universal appeal of localized storytelling, crediting writer Kamal Pandey for creating relatable characters that have resonated with audiences across India.
Dhaval Thakur, who portrays Kuldeep Kumar in the show, described his role as multi-faceted and expressed his gratitude for the challenging journey that led to the show’s success.
