British rock band Coldplay is set to host their biggest-ever Indian concert, which will be exclusively streamed on Disney+ Hotstar. The concert, scheduled for Jan. 26 on Republic Day, will take place at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium and will be available to viewers across India. This exclusive streaming deal marks a significant move for Disney+ Hotstar as they venture into live music content, offering viewers not only the concert itself but also exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the band.

The partnership with Cisco will ensure that the streaming experience is seamless and immersive, utilizing Disney+ Hotstar’s advanced technology infrastructure. Frontman Chris Martin expressed his excitement for the upcoming event, stating, “Namaste to all our friends in India. We’re thrilled to share that on the 26th of January, our show from Ahmedabad will be streaming live on Disney+ Hotstar, so you can watch it from anywhere in India. We hope you’ll join us — we’re so excited to visit your beautiful country. Sending lots of love!”

Sanjog Gupta, CEO of JioStar — Sports, highlighted the significance of the partnership with Coldplay, emphasizing Disney+ Hotstar’s commitment to bringing iconic cultural experiences to audiences nationwide. By leveraging their advanced technology and unmatched reach, Disney+ Hotstar aims to break barriers around privileged access to premium entertainment and make it available to all, fostering a shared celebration across the country.

The concert is part of Coldplay’s record-breaking “Music of the Spheres World Tour,” which has already become the highest-grossing rock tour in history. Prior to the Indian concert, the band will perform at Mumbai’s D.Y. Patil Stadium on Jan 18, 19, and 21, followed by the concerts in Ahmedabad on Jan. 25 and 26.
