Denver International Airport experienced significant delays on Saturday morning, with at least 204 flights affected due to snow and bitter cold brought by a polar vortex.
United Airlines accounted for nearly half of the delayed flights, with 101 reported as of 11:45 a.m., according to FlightAware. Other major carriers such as SkyWest and Southwest also faced delays, while smaller airlines like AeroMéxico, Air Canada, and Delta experienced fewer disruptions. Fortunately, no cancellations were reported at this time.
The adverse weather conditions also impacted ground transportation in Colorado, with snow and ice making roadways slippery. The National Weather Service has issued warnings for continued hazardous conditions through Saturday afternoon.
