Travis Kelce’s father, Ed Kelce, recently revealed that he has been banned for life from Facebook, and he is unsure of the reason behind this drastic action. In a post on the social media platform, Ed Kelce shared a Newsmax article alleging that Houthi arms dealers are selling weapons on Facebook, and mentioned that he has been banned for life from Elon Musk’s platform.
According to Ed Kelce, he received a lifetime ban for a “generic ‘Terms Of Service’ violation.” He clarified that he was not banned because of the specific post he shared, but rather to highlight the platform’s hypocrisy. He believes that the ban is unjustified, as it was based on a violation that occurred when he was not actively using his account, possibly as a result of a hack.
Despite the confusing circumstances surrounding his ban, Ed Kelce is adamant that the lifetime ban is unwarranted. He finds it absurd that he has been banned for life from Facebook and is determined to challenge the decision.
It is worth noting that Elon Musk has been vocal about supporting free speech on his platform, but has also been involved in disputes over content, such as his clash with Don Lemon earlier this year. Lemon claimed that his Facebook deal was terminated due to interview questions he asked the tech mogul.
A lifetime ban from Facebook appears to be an extreme measure, especially considering Musk’s stance on free speech. Efforts have been made to reach out to Facebook for clarification on the matter.
Regardless of the outcome, Ed Kelce is now an “ex-user” of the platform, as he continues to question the reasons behind his ban.
