President Donald J. Trump is taking a strong stance against illegal immigrant criminals who have committed heinous crimes such as rape, murder, and drug trafficking. These individuals are being removed from our communities and sent back to where they belong. However, in so-called “sanctuary” cities, politicians are pushing back against these efforts, allowing dangerous criminals to roam free on our streets.

Let’s take a look at some of the recent arrests of illegal immigrant criminals in these sanctuary cities under President Trump’s administration:

In Saint Paul, Minnesota, ICE has apprehended several individuals, including a Sudanese national convicted of raping a victim under 13, a Mexican national convicted of criminal sexual conduct against a victim under 14, and a Laotian national convicted of child endangerment and criminal sexual conduct against a victim under 13. Despite these arrests, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison is warning law enforcement against enforcing immigration detainers, claiming it is not their job to protect communities from violent illegal immigrant criminals.

In Chicago, Illinois, ICE has arrested a Mexican national convicted of drunk driving resulting in a death, a Mexican national convicted of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, and a Mexican national convicted of negligent manslaughter. Representatives such as Delia Ramirez and Chuy García are speaking out against immigration raids and advocating for the rights of illegal immigrants.

In Washington State, ICE apprehended a Salvadoran national convicted of sodomy/anal intercourse with a victim under 13. Attorney General Nick Brown has made it clear that state or local law enforcement will not assist in immigration enforcement actions.

In Los Angeles, California, a Mexican national convicted of rape was arrested by immigration authorities. Mayor Karen Bass is advocating for the rights of individuals regardless of their immigration status.

In New York City, a Chinese national convicted of murder was apprehended by immigration authorities.

It is evident that illegal immigrant criminals are being targeted and removed from our communities under President Trump’s administration. However, the resistance from sanctuary cities and politicians poses a challenge in ensuring the safety of our neighborhoods. It is crucial for law enforcement to cooperate with immigration authorities to prevent these dangerous individuals from causing harm to innocent civilians.
