The Bryan Kohberger case has taken a chilling turn as new details emerge about the text exchanges between the two surviving roommates during the horrifying murders of four University of Idaho students. The roommates, identified as “D.M.” and “B.F.,” were in separate rooms as the killer, Bryan Kohberger, went on his rampage with a knife through the off-campus house in Moscow, Idaho.

According to court records, D.M. tried to call B.F., Xana, Kaylee, and Madison starting at 4:19 AM, but no one answered. The text exchange between D.M. and B.F. reveals the confusion and fear they experienced as the events unfolded. They were in a state of shock as they realized what was happening around them.

Prosecutors have charged Bryan Kohberger with fatally stabbing Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, Madison Mogen, and Kaylee Goncalves as they slept in their rooms on November 13, 2022. The surviving roommates were fortunate to escape the attack.

One of the roommates described the terrifying moment when she saw a man dressed in black walking out of the house during the attack. Prosecutors have collected evidence linking Kohberger to the crimes, including DNA recovered from a knife sheath found at the scene that matches his genetic material.

As the case unfolds, Kohberger’s attorneys have requested to exclude the death penalty from sentencing if he is found guilty. They argue that capital punishment would be cruel and unusual due to Kohberger’s autism diagnosis.

The release of the text messages between the roommates sheds light on the terror they experienced that fateful night. The full transcript of the exchange can be accessed for further insight into the events that transpired. The Bryan Kohberger case continues to shock and horrify as more details come to light, leaving the community in disbelief and seeking justice for the victims.
