A daring bank robbery attempt took place in Brooklyn this week, as a suspect named Indiana Moen tried to raid the Bank of America in Williamsburg. The 23-year-old entered the bank on Graham Avenue and handed a note to the teller claiming he had a bomb attached to his chest that was remotely controlled. The note demanded that the teller fill a bag with big bills, warning that there was no silent alarm and that they were being watched.

Despite the threats, Moen left the bank empty-handed, leaving the teller in a state of fear and alarm. He then fled to a building within the NYCHA’s Bushwick Houses nearby. Police found him on the fourth floor of the building, where he was arrested for attempted robbery, menacing, criminal possession of a weapon, attempted petit larceny, harassment, and criminal trespass.

During his arraignment, Moen was ordered to be held on $75,000 cash bail or $150,000 bond. The incident left the community shaken but relieved that no one was harmed. It serves as a reminder of the risks involved in criminal activities and the swift response of law enforcement in apprehending perpetrators.
